For a carpeted floor, the vacuum cleaner is the standard floor maintenance equipment needed. A vacuum cleaner can do a great job removing dust and allergens from the carpet to minimize health risks. However, fine particles of dust and allergens can be exhausted back into the room. Using a vacuum cleaner with a built-in hepa filter is the best solution. The hepa filter needs to be positioned downstream of the motor to ensure the exhaust is emitting allergen-free air.
For hard floors, a mop system and a broom may be the only floor maintenance equipment needed. For large scale project that also require polishing or burnishing, low and high speed floor machines are the proper floor maintenance equipment to use.
