and ice, which enables it to work when other de-icers cannot.

Catalyst: Prestone Driveway Heat is 90-97% Calcium Chloride, (needs no other catalyst, works on impact)
Safety:
It does not stain or leave any residue on concrete, asphalt, bricks or
stone. It is often safer on vegetation because less is required to do
the job. This product is white in color.

Pet Friendly Magnesium Chloride (pellets) Roadrunner
Cost: Premium Grade
Effectiveness: Magnesium Chloride pellets give off heat. However, because the dry pellets are 50/50 (mag/water), the application rate must be significantly increased to get the same amount of melting compared to calcium chloride.
Melting Point: Advertized -20 degrees melting power
Speed: Melts faster than blended de-icers or rock salt
Catalyst: This product contains 93-95% Magnesium Chloride pellets and needs no other catalyst. It works on impact.
